Thanks to everyone that came to the community center on Wednesday to hear from PSE&G and express objections to the project. The meeting format was not preferred, but there is strength in numbers and PSE&G representatives took note.
Attached is a resolution that we expect to pass on Tuesday night. Thanks to Deputy Mayor Ann Dooley and Township Attorney Ryan Cooper for their efforts drafting this.
The Township Committee will discuss the proposal at Monday’s workshop meeting. The agenda shows:
PSE&G Proposed Upgrade – 7:50 p.m.
We do not expect representatives from the utility to be there.
We continue to push for this project to be rerouted along the Conrail tracks. PSE&G indicates that they are seriously exploring this alternative but do not expect to have an answer for 2-3 weeks.
In the meantime, we will continue to push for the reroute. I encourage you to reach out to your County and State representatives as well.
