Union County Freeholders Unanimously Pass Resolution (5/16/19)

**UPDATE: Union County Freeholders unanimously pass resolution supporting efforts to relocate PSE&G power lines outside of residential areas.**

Tonight, No High Voltage Cranford and No Monster Power Lines - Westfieldbanded together before the Union County Freeholders to strongly oppose PSE&G efforts to run high-voltage power lines and toxic poles down residential streets. It was a true testament of ordinary citizens coming together to fight for what is right. Our messages were powerful and effectively delivered. And we greatly appreciate all of those who took time to support the cause (including Cranford Commissioner Mary O’Connor). We showed PSE&G that we will not let corporate greed bulldoze the towns that all of us love and cherish.

As a result of our efforts and the efforts of our Township officials and Mayor Giblin, the Freeholders tonight unanimously passed a resolution supporting our mission to have the toxic poles relocated outside of residential areas. Our sincere thanks to the Freeholders for the resolution and for their time and consideration. They were all very well prepared and attentive.

This by no means is the end. Rest assured, though, we will continue to bring the fight to PSE&G.
